The municipal golf courses are 2 minutes walk from Tigh Dearg. Royal Troon golf course is within 15 minutes walk and there is public access to view the course. The championship qualifying courses in Irvine, Gailes, and Prestwick are within 15 minutes travelling by car.

Tigh Dearg has 3 bedrooms, all en-suite. There is one single room, one twin room, and one family room with a double bed and a single bed. Rates are from £24.00 per person per night including breakfast, payable by cash or cheque.
